charlie: good morning. welcome to "fox & friends". we have our shot here. okay, it's "fox & friends" weekend and starting with trump to stump in battleground pennsylvania and polls in deep blue new york showing the former president gaining ground with deep blues. will: bringing faith into the classroom and louisiana requiring schools to display the 10 commandments and the ladies of the view into a frenzy. >> they want to post in schools. post in mar-a-lago. >> this borrows me to no end. if you want your child to have a religious description of the case, send them to a different school. rachel: we're going to reveal

5:03 am

charlie: we have a new poll out of new york for president and showing that donald trump going 88 points overall gaining and earlier we talked to lee zeldin and thought that donald trump was in a better position in his race than we were in the line and going by two points and going for lee zeldin. >> president trump is actually closer now at this point in the campaign than i was two years ago at this point of the governor's race. the state has continued to shift right and interestingly enough, i looked at updated voter registration data for the state and one might think that a whole

5:04 am

bunch of republicans and conservatives given up and left the state and it turns out that the democrats in the democratic party registration is down over 100,000 while the republican registration is up and people are not affiliated with voters and also up and i would say that the race is actually a bit closer than even what the polls are showing. will: if donald trump is polling within eight points of joe bide anne donovan new york, we're looking at campaign on offense and reports that donald trump is opening up field offices in virginia and minnesota. i believe it's 11 in virginia and something like 7 field offices in minnesota. again, offense. we all know that states that are going to be necessary to win this presidential election and states like wisconsin and pennsylvania and viewpoint offense in virginia. if you're playing offense in minnesota, you're playing offense in new york forcing joe biden playing defense. spending money and time that he

5:05 am

would rather be spending in wisconsin and michigan and pennsylvania. rachel: that's true, money and time and resources that win elections. it's interesting he's not just playing offense and taking new york and he didn't go and do that rally in long island. he went down to the bronx and brownest blackest part of the state and he had these winning them over. democrats said he went welcome and not going to be perceived well and said donald trump was going to bus in people. we know that isn't true because i was there the day before and lawrence jones was there the day of and these are residents of the bronx saying we want him here. our community is falling apart. it's crime ridden, and again interesting he's also winning on issues that consultants would

5:07 am

in a place like new york. rachel: talking about debates and the theory is very good, will, and this is a trial balloon and how does joe biden doing this debate and still gives the democrats of time to change out a candidate if that performance ends up being really bad. but also how far in the polls can he fall before the democrats decide? will: the presidential debate taking place on thursday and charlie and i in the commercial break talking about it and don't remember a debate talking about it before either convention and first one this coming week. rachel: i'll be on fox nation and i'll be there in atlanta and hosting the panel and charlie will be with me and having analysis and that's going to be live on fox nation. will: schools, public schools in

5:11 am

controversial about thou shall not murder or lie. rachel: this is joy behar trying to take a stab at donald trump and posted at mar-a-lago and all the things he's done and stormy daniels and they're fundamental for them and what they're really mad about and standing up for christian values and he has made themselves politically speaking and the protecter of religious liberty and christians in america and absolutely feel and i think rightfully so and expression of religion and placed in a public square is under attack. talking about this earlier in the show, will, they believe that maybe by taking religion out of the school and it was the 10 commandments and can't mention jesus and christmas and somehow there's a neutral space that everybody would be kumbaya.
