I took my first commercial trip in a Waymo in Los Angeles. Documented the entire process from pricing the trip, to requesting the car, the trip itself and my rating. It was an interesting experience to say the least. We posted the video on the The Rideshare Guy YouTube channel. Is Waymo a threat to the duopoly, are AVs going to replace Rideshare drivers in scale? I simultaneously priced a short trip on Uber Lyft and Waymo in Los Angeles. Which TNC offered the lowest fare? Are AVs a threat to the duopoly? We just posted the full video on The Rideshare Guy YouTube channel.👇👇👇https://lnkd.in/gDDQ-x4p

I'm personally boycotting all these restaurants, no dynamic pricing on my food. My buying power has already been crippled the last few years due to inflation in general thanks to the helicopter money policies of the Federal Reserve Board!👇👇👇

On this Episode of the real (Uber is copying us now) BTW (Behind The Wheel) on The Rideshare Guy YouTube channel, meet Rafael from Boston, top earning Uber & Lyft Rideshare driver in the US that I know of.My sincerest thanks to Rafael for sharing his story, what an inspiration! He has GROSSED well over $200k for the past 3 years doing Rideshare, only Uber X and Lyft Standard! He works hard but also travels 4 times a year taking off 2 weeks at a time every quarter to avoid burning out!I have verified his earnings with his 1099s as well as the yearly earnings summaries TNCs send out!#rideshare #gigeconomy https://lnkd.in/g4ugvKF4

Uber has 142 million MAPCs (they change the acronym every few Q) as of the last quarter. As a veteran driver of 8 years on both platforms, I've seen the good the bad and the ugly as far as my Rideshare earnings are concerned. I'm also a frequent Rider/Consumer on many platforms. Subsidized fantasy land is over for passengers as well as drivers since Uber’s focus shifted feom growth at all cost to profitability. Passagenger Fares have gone up to the tune of 50%+ since 2019. As a Rider, I'm definitely noticing lower car quality, lower driver quality as well as service, is that what you're experiencing? The churn and burn strategy by TNCs when it comes to driver acquisition may backfire. After reading the room, I always try strike a conversation with the Rider in order to educate them as well as listen to their concerns. Here's an example of that during a trip over the weekend as part of Sergio's Driving Diaries on the The Rideshare Guy YouTube channel. #gigeconomy #rideshare

A New Dawn of Workplace Regulation: The Gig Economy is a well balanced documentary representing the views of all the stakeholders. After the latest USDOL ruling, there is a lot of uncertainty in the gig world. I am humbled and proud to be part of this project. Many thanks to Tim Hedberg of Motivo Media for directing this film as well as The Federalist Society.Looking forward to building the necessary bridge between the gig worker community, Uber Lyft DoorDash Instacart and all the TNCs and DNCs as well as legislators. AtThe Rideshare Guy we are committed to be gig worker advocates presenting a balanced view of the space.#gigeconomy

We started posting videos on The Rideshare Guy YouTube channel a couple of weeks ago called Driver Diary With Sergio. They are my personal experiences as a Rideshare driver from Los Angeles! They have taken off and are being watched by tens of thousands of Rideshare Drivers. Education of the Driver is important since Uber and Lyft CEOs both agree that Rideshare driving is our small business. How valid is that when TNCs control the pricing on both sides of the marketplace? The Riders use these services mainly due to its convenience. I'm a driver as well as a consumer on these platforms, it is time to educate the Riders. As consumers we are all paying at least 50% more than a few years ago for similar trips/deliveries. But has service, car and driver quality kept pace with those fare increases? Not from what I'm experiencing! #gigeconomy #rideshare #knowyourworth https://lnkd.in/g2aQve3S

May be the best BTW (Behind The Wheel) Episode we have done on The Rideshare Guy YouTube channel. I want to thank Dave from Las Vegas for coming on but more importantly I'm humbled by the Uber and Lyft driver community support over the past 18 months.I guess whatever happens in Vegas does not stay in Vegas. All executives of TNCs would learn a ton by watching this interview. Applications of algorithms to real life situations must be carefully studied. #rideshare #gigeconomy 👇👇https://lnkd.in/g_zmqQct
