Fire Emblem Engage will launch for Nintendo Switch on January 20.
We're just days away from the release of the next Fire Emblem game. Fire Emblem Engage launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch this Friday, January 20. Once again, you'll face off against enemies in grid-based, strategic combat. The lengthy tactical-RPG earned a 7/10 in our Fire Emblem Engage review. If you haven't ordered your copy yet, you still have time to preorder Fire Emblem Engage and receive release-day delivery.
Fire Emblem Engage Preorder Bonuses
Fire Emblem Engage, like many Switch games, doesn't have any official preorder bonuses from Nintendo. However, GameStop is giving away a Fire Emblem-themed tarot card deck with preorders. If you order online, you'll have to bring your order confirmation to your local store to receive the bonus at launch.

Preorder Fire Emblem Engage + Expansion Pass
$90
Fire Emblem Engage will also have an expansion pass that bundles four content drops, with the first wave of DLC arriving on launch day. The DLC will feature a variety of in-game content, including new accessories, emblems, support items, and more. The final piece of DLC will include new story missions and classes.
You can buy the expansion pass separately for $30. Alternatively, you can pick up a digital bundle that includes the full game and expansion pass for $90.
Fire Emblem Engage will take you to the new kingdom of Elyos, a region that’s embattled in a war against the evil Fell Dragon. You’ll step into the shoes of the Divine Dragon, who is tasked with fending off the Fell Dragon and returning peace to the land.
Besides the usual grid-based action, Engage will introduce a new Emblem Rings mechanic. This will let you summon Fire Emblem characters from previous games, including Marth and Sigurd.
