    Duplin TimesDuplin County ambulance collision injures several, EMS driver chargedOn Wednesday morning, a Duplin County EMS driver was charged with a failure to yield following a collision with a tractor-trailer while transporting a patient. Emergency services received a call around 7:15 a.m. this morning. The crash occurred between the intersection of Highway 111 and Sheep Pasture Road in Albertson. Highway Patrol said that the tractor-trailer was hauling a full load of chickens, the parties were unable to stop. The ambulance was driving without lights or sirens. All involved were transported to hospitals either by ambulance or airlifted via medical helicopter for non-life-threatening injuries. The collision is currently under investigation by North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
